Your role:
As a Sales Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the sales and revenue performance of the Newcastle branch. The Sales Manager will be expected to be directly involved in the largest and most complex opportunities, leading the executive engagement and influencing at CEO and board level. The role will have direct line management of the two existing local account management team members and possibly other teams as required. You will need to be an experienced sales leader who understands the sales process and knows how to shape and win a deal.
Key responsibilities:
* Lead a team of direct reports to meet or exceed their sales targets.
* Coach, mentor, guide and train the Sales team on an ongoing basis.
* Allocate the right resources to the right opportunities, manage the account management territory and ensure proper bid management and opportunity qualification is undertaken.
* Contribute to the development of new business strategies, policies and best practices.
* As a Senior Sales BDM resource in the region, you will be working on the largest and most complex opportunities - including responding to customer requests for information, developing and planning solution presentations and demonstrations etc.
* Leading discussions with customer audiences up to CxO level on the use of Brennan related technologies.
* Training the local Sales Team.
* Closely align with vendors and partners in state to form good working relationships and uncover new business opportunities.
* Attend functions and events to promote the Brennan brand and uncover new opportunities for you and the local AM's to work on.
To achieve success, this role requires the following Competencies and Experience:
* A proven track record in a sales environment in an IT solutions business.
* Strong people management skills with a proven track record on personal development and coaching.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal and written)
* Ability to perform and work well under pressure
* Good analytical & troubleshooting skills
* Proven experience of developing and delivering effective presentations
* A “trusted advisor” and “project Leader” attitude.
* A willingness to work and adapt to a fast growing & changing environment
* Self-sufficiency and a high degree of autonomy
* Strong negotiation and influencing skills
* Ability to work across teams and across various geographic locations.
