Position: Management Accountant

Newcastle Anglican is looking for a Management Accountant. You will provide sound business systems and accounting processes and associated support to the Finance Manager of Anglican Care, to ensure the organisation is financially managed in an efficient manner and for the reporting and analysis of finance results, budgets and forecasts.
This is a permanent Full Time vacancy.

Role & Responsibilities:
* Management and development of financial management reports and tools for business owners and cost centre managers
* Managing and leading direct reports
* Support the Finance Manager to develop and implement the financial policies and procedures in relation to Finance Management
* Ensure reporting and analysis requirements are met in a timely and efficient manner
* Coordination, development and review of business plans as required
* In consultation with the Operational Managers, co-ordination and analysis of cost centre budgets and forecasts.
* Ensure Budgets are reviewed and aligned with KPI’s.
* In consultation with the Finance Manager preparation of consolidated annual operating and capital expenditure budgets for submission to the Corporate Executive Group.
* Undertake cost benefit analysis for various projects as determined in the annual organisational wide business plan.
* Development of models in Excel to provide input to business decision making.
* Develop and deliver meaningful and timely management reports to the DCE, ELT and the Board, as required.
* Review monthly financial statements and produce variance analysis reports.
* Develop monthly financial KPIs reporting and analysis for the executive and cost centre managers.
About You:
* Tertiary qualification in Accounting
* CA or CPA qualified
* Five years professional experience in management accounting, analysis of results and reporting to tight deadlines
* Experience in the development and monitoring of budgets
* Demonstrated ability to implement change and continuous improvement.
* Proven ability to project plan.
