About the role
Reporting to the Operations Shift Leader, the role is to operate and monitor the power station plant including boiler, turbogenerator, station plant, ancillary plant and to direct/monitor field operations to ensure that all activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
The GO2 is a key player in maintaining a strong HSE culture by ensuring that all statutory regulations are adhered to and that all O&M activities employ safe work practices that are consistent with EnergyAustralia policies and procedures.
The GO2 is responsible for management of unit output to meet agreed production and maintenance targets by ensuring the reliability and availability of plant through consultation and cooperation with other staff.
About you
Successful Applicants will have the following skills, experience and qualifications:
* A personal commitment to occupational health and safety
* Demonstrated competency and substantial experience in the control, operation and maintenance of boiler and turbo/generator units and associated plant
* Well-developed communication and teamwork skills
* High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) - Boiler Advanced (BA) and Turbine Operation (TO)
* Highly developed troubleshooting and analytical skills
