Davidson are partnering with our well-known client to offer a 12-month day rate contract opportunity for a Senior Project Manager within the government sector. Hybrid working model, Geelong location with 3 days in-office.
The Role
As an experienced Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of complex projects, ensuring adherence to project methodologies, risk management, and tight schedules with full financial accountability. This role requires managing both internal resources and vendor suppliers to achieve successful project outcomes.
Key responsibilities:
1. Defining, documenting, and completing complex projects with significant business and political impact.
2. Adapting and applying project management methods and tools, balancing predictive and adaptive approaches.
3. Maintaining effective project control, change control, risk management, and testing processes.
4. Monitoring and managing project resources, costs, and stakeholder expectations.
5. Managing demand in conjunction with strategic, operational and change management processes.
About you
To be a successful candidate you will have extensive experience in ICT project management within large and complex organisations, with a proven track record of managing multiple projects and budgets over $1 million.
6. Project management accreditation; PRINCE2 preferred, Agile or Lean beneficial.
7. Extensive ICT project management experience with multiple concurrent projects.
8. Comprehensive project lifecycle understanding from planning to delivery.
9. High-level written and oral communication skills with attention to detail.
10. Confidence in dealing with stakeholders at all organisational levels.
