Position: ChefFulltime: 38 hours per weekEmployer: Buffs ClubLocation: Regional North Queensland (Mount Isa)Remuneration: $70,000 to $85,000 + Superannuation per annum commensurate with experience Buffs Club is an award-winning club with fantastic dining and a comprehensive dine in Menu.Located in Regional North Queensland in Mount Isa the eatery is currently looking for a hardworking and dedicated Chef to join the team.Duties, Responsibilities and Skills include:- Plan menus, estimate food and labour costs and food preparation issues with managers or head chef.- Monitor quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation- Order food, kitchen supplies and equipment- Prepare and store food, ensuring stock rotation and control is maintained (freeze and preserve foods)- Preparation of meals, ensuring presentation, portion control and quality is of the highest standard- Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures- Liaise with Head Chef or Managers on Functions or Special requirements- Maintain kitchen equipment and individual tools of the trade- Constantly update knowledge and skills to keep abreast of industry trends- Train and supervisor apprentices, trainees and other kitchen staff- Assist or compile kitchen rosters and staffing reviews- Oversee and maintain, the highest standards of hygiene, practice OH&S and building safety procedures- Attend to customer complaints in prompt and satisfactory manner- Select and train staff as required and appropriate To be considered for the position you must have;- At least 2 years experience in a similar role- Relevant qualifications in commercial cookery If you think you meet the above criteria, please apply now.
