The key duties of the position include: The Cloud Platforms Manager leads a team responsible for delivery of high-value, secure and easy to use cloud platforms and services to support scientific and corporate needs. Geoscience Australia uses a variety of commercial cloud offerings, and these platforms are relied upon across the organisation to deliver organisational objectives.The Cloud Platforms team ensures that Geoscience Australia's cloud platforms are fit-for-purpose, consistent, sustainable, maintained, secure and well governed. Through active engagement and collaboration with end users, the Cloud Platforms Manager identifies current and future organisational cloud needs and drives effective and efficient adoption of cloud capabilities.As a leader within the Enterprise Data and Digital Branch, this role is also responsible for promoting a positive, inclusive and high-performing culture and contributing to the enhancement and modernisation of our enterprise data and digital capability and to the achievement of the Geoscience Australia Strategy 2028.In this role you will: Contribute to strategic direction for cloud adoption and usage across Geoscience Australia, consistent with user needs and organisational objectives. Lead the design, development and support of enterprise cloud platforms and services to enable other teams to effectively leverage cloud.
