Our client is a global financial institution seeking a Dealers Assistant to join their Wealth Management/Stockbroking Department servicing their HNW Clients in their Adelaide Office.
The role will be directly supporting private client advisers, liaising with their clients, placing trades on clients' behalf and providing further operational assistance to the team.
The ideal background will be someone with around 2+ years experience in equity markets operations / client services or coming from another dealer/desk/advisor assistant role. Please note that our client is exclusively considering candidates with full and unrestricted working rights. As such, this role is not applicable to those on Working Holiday Visas or student visas.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as liaison between dealing desk, internal departments, external organisations, service agents, and clients.
* Answer all incoming client calls and respond to client email queries.
* Taking and placing orders.
* Preparation and collation of all information required prior to client meetings including Financial Summary reports, portfolio performance, preferred stock recommendations and research.
* Monitor and liaise with Advisers on any failed settlements and provide daily reports.
* Assisting with settlement queries.
* Assistance with Floats/IPOs/Placements/Corporate Actions.
* Post client meetings, work with Advisers regarding action points, delegation of these action points and ensuring these are all completed.
* Provide advisers with post-meeting email to ensure clients are continually updated.
* Quoting market prices on indices, ordinary shares and options.
* Management of upcoming corporate actions, Floats, IPOs.
* Liaising with Advisers regarding details, timeline and participation in Corporate Actions.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
* 2+ years equity operations, client services, or (ideally) prior desk/advisor assistant experience within the stockbroking / wealth management industry.
* Tertiary degree – Bachelor’s Degree or higher – within a related discipline.
* RG 146 qualification – if not held already then a requirement to study towards.
* Excellent numeracy communication skills, both written and spoken.
* High attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and to tight timeframes within a team.
* Goal-oriented with demonstrated drive and initiative.
