**A day In the Life of a Risk Specialist**
This is a key role in assessing the way the organisation manages their Operational Risks and Compliance whilst identifying areas for improvement.
You will be joining an enterprise-wide transformation project responsible for collaborating with senior stakeholders through workshops to assess any inconsistencies within the controls across the enterprise.
You will bring policy owners together, facilitating workshops to meet control objectives and insuring they are consistent.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Extract relevant data from the GRC (obligations)
- Assist the business to develop control objectives across risk themes such as data, financial crime, fraud, information security, technology, conduct.
- Perform QA work done by risk delegates and facilitate workshops to refine control objectives.
- Map out controls for objectives.
- Establish tracking between obligations and controls relating to non-financial risks.
- Create high quality presentations for Stakeholders.

**Desired Experience**:
- Prior in an Operational Risk Management or Audit role.
- Experience working in a highly regulated industry (banking, financial services, utilities, professional services).
- Experience with controls performing testing and a knowledge of obligations is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a wide variety of Stakeholder with competing tasks, strong prioritisation skills.
- Familiar with in operational risk and compliance frameworks including financial crime, information security, and conduct etc.
- Highly refined written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to have conversations all levels.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, strong presence and articulate when dealing with stakeholders.
- Someone who is curious, enthusiastic, enjoys problem solving.

This role can be based in Melbourne for hybrid wfh and office or remote and open to Adelaide.
