Your new role
* Maximising equipment uptime through efficient and effective mechanical preventative and breakdown maintenance.
* Conducting the fabrication, fitting, and repair of mechanical machinery, tools, or devices to maintain equipment and facilities in peak working condition for their designated purpose.
* Performing all mechanical tasks in compliance with company safety standards, housekeeping protocols, and applicable regulations.
* Demonstrating strong time management, accountability, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
What you'll need to succeed
* Possession of Fitter and Turner trade qualifications alongside relevant post-trade experience
* Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
* Proven track record in maintenance and repair within a fast-paced manufacturing setting
* Strong aptitude for effective fault diagnosis and problem-solving
* Comprehensive knowledge of maintenance management practices
* Familiarity with work planning and scheduling protocols
* Proficiency in computer systems and software applications
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
* In-depth understanding of WHS regulations and procedures
* Confined Space and Breathing Apparatus competency is highly advantageous
What you'll get in return
Successful candidates will secure a full-time permanent position with our client, based locally in Rockhampton. The role provides flexibility with a rotating shift roster, including one Saturday every three weeks, balanced by the option to work a four-day week. Additional incentives are also available and will be outlined during the interview process.
