About Us: Located at 3/2 Halpine Drive, Mango Hill, QLD, 4509, Ambikaa Pty Ltd T/A Zyka The Taste of India is a vibrant restaurant that brings the rich and authentic flavors of Indian cuisine to the heart of Queensland.With a focus on traditional recipes and modern culinary techniques, we aim to provide our customers with an unforgettable dining experience.Our diverse menu features an array of delectable dishes that reflect the true essence of Indian culture and heritage.At Zyka, we pride ourselves on exceptional service, fresh ingredients, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere that keeps customers coming back for more.We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our team at Zyka The Taste of India.The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Indian cuisine and a proven ability to prepare authentic dishes while adhering to the highest standards of quality and hygiene.Responsibilities: · Directing food preparation to meet any special dietary requirements of the customer.· Managing stock inventory and ordering raw materials of high quality.· Train and mentoring other kitchen staff and apprentices.· Providing instructions to kitchen staff regarding the proper way of handling cooking equipment and demonstrating different cooking styles.· Ensuring that the meals are prepared as per the hygiene standards and served to the customers on time.· Menu designing and amending details in menu regarding prices, dishes whenever required as well as planning seasonal specials.· Ensure staff always adhere to Occupational health and safety measures · Responsible for the preparation of dishes as per the menu and recipes.· Ensuring that the food is stored in temperature-controlled facilities.· Monitoring the quality of raw and cooked food.· Analyzing and approximating the price for food and human resource.· Ensuring the seasoning and garnishing of food are done appropriately as well as ensuring that the right portion of food is served to the customers as per restaurant standards.· Effectively deal and rectify with the issues for the smooth operations of the business.Skills and Experience: · Diploma level qualification is required.· The candidate must have at least 3 years' experience · Able to work under minimum supervision · Positive attitude · Must be a team player · Be available at weekends Salary Package: $65,000 - $80,000 Plus Superannuation per annum.
