About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Instrumentation, Controls & Electrical Engineer position based at our offices in Brisbane. Reporting to the GLNG Reliability Team Leader, this key position will ensure the safe and reliable operation of instrumentation, controls & electrical (IC&E) equipment by providing engineering support to the GLNG plant and pipelines.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
1. Provide technical support for instrumentation, controls & electrical (IC&E) equipment
2. Identify risks related to the IC&E equipment. Support risk assessment and closure by implementing rectification plans.
3. Identify maintenance strategy optimisation opportunities and provide technical review/endorsement to changes in Reliability Management Plans (RMPs) related to IC&E equipment.
4. Participate in and support failure investigations / root cause analyses, technical audits, and compliance assessments for IC&E equipment issues.
5. Leads discipline engineering excellence, governance, and assurance of safety barrier / performance standards effectiveness. Assures cybersecurity compliance is always met.
6. Ensure compliance with relevant Standards and Codes.
7. Actively mentor graduate and junior engineers.
About You The successful individual will possess a Bachelor’s degree in electrical or instrumentation, as well as be eligible for RPEQ (e.g., Chartered Engineer). In addition, you will also be able to demonstrate the following:
8. Extensive experience in instrumentation, controls & electrical engineering in an operations support role in oil and gas, petrochemical or similar industry. Major hazard facility (MHF) experience preferred.
9. A thorough understanding of the relevant technical standards and regulatory framework relating to the Oil and Gas Industry.
10. Skilled in integrated control and safety systems and knowledge in operational technology cyber security.
11. Skilled design verification of process instrumentation, actuated and control valves.
12. Skilled in Electrical Power generation and distribution engineering.
It is expected that you will also be able to demonstrate the following technical competencies:
13. Competent use and knowledge of CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) preferably SAP
14. Competent in Hazardous Area / EEHA
15. Competent in Functional Safety, SIL, LOPA, Bowties
In addition, Function Safety Engineer and Hazardous Area certification will be looked upon favourably.
