Support and Empower Young People
We are seeking casual Youth Workers to assist in the everyday care, growth, and development of children and young people who require accommodation.
The successful applicant will work with a team from a trauma-informed and strengths-based framework to develop and provide safety for all children and young people in their care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work with disengaged young people and demonstrate unconditional support whilst building trusting relationships within program boundaries.
* Assist in the everyday care, growth, and development of children and young people.
* Work shift work, including sleepovers, on an as-needed basis.
* Develop and provide holistic services to Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal children, young people, and their families.
* Advocate on behalf of Aboriginal young people and their families to provide cultural support.
Requirements:
* Knowledge and understanding of issues affecting Aboriginal communities, societies, and cultures in NSW.
* Current Working with Children Check, Police History Check, First Aid Certificate, and Driver's Licence.
