We work with leading brands such as St George, Reckon, PepsiCo, Macquarie Uni, Danone, and other high-growth companies to help them achieve their organic search goals.This role sits within our Data & Analytics team, where you will manage internal databases, support data analysis, and assist in web analytics reporting for a growing list of clients.You will be a key player in organising and optimising data structures to drive actionable marketing insights. Additionally, you will support senior team members in developing testing frameworks, tracking data integrity, and providing business intelligence to inform digital marketing strategies.This role will suit you if:You enjoy working with databases, organising data, and making sense of complex datasets.You have foundational experience with data analysis techniques and are eager to develop these skills further.You have exposure to web analytics tools (Google Analytics 4, Adobe Analytics, Tealium, or similar) and want to expand your expertise.You thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and enjoy working with cross-functional teams.You have excellent attention to detail and are comfortable adapting to unfamiliar data formats, sources, and tools.You’re a proactive problem solver, always eager to tackle new challenges and optimise data workflows.You stay updated with digital marketing and SEO trends—not just as part of your job, but because you’re genuinely passionate about it.Skillset Outline:Database Management & Data Integrity:Maintain and optimise internal databases used for SEO and marketing analytics.Ensure data accuracy, cleanliness, and consistency across multiple sources.Support the automation of data ingestion and processing to improve efficiency.Basic Data Analysis & Reporting:Assist in cleaning and preprocessing structured and unstructured data for analysis.Support the Search Analytics Manager in identifying trends, correlations, and key insights from raw data.Help create bespoke data visualisations, dashboards, and reports for internal use and clients.Web Analytics & Tag Management (Preferred Experience):Assist in implementing and troubleshooting web analytics tracking (Google Analytics 4, Adobe Analytics, Google Tag Manager, etc.).Work with stakeholders to assess data quality and infrastructure limitations.Support the scoping of large-scale analytics projects by evaluating the reliability and completeness of client data.Help translate complex data findings into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Deliver presentations that communicate data-driven performance insights effectively.What we're looking for:Completed tertiary qualification (Bachelor’s, TAFE Diploma, or equivalent) in Data Science, Business, Commerce, Data Analytics, Marketing, or other relevant fields.1-2 years of experience in a data-driven role, preferably in marketing analytics, web analytics, or business intelligence.Strong skills in database management, including experience with SQL or spreadsheet-based data wrangling.Experience working with large datasets and ensuring data integrity.Exposure to web analytics tools (Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Adobe Analytics, or Tealium) is preferred.Basic knowledge of data visualisation tools (Looker Studio, Power BI, or Tableau) is a plus.Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment.A proactive mindset, curiosity, and willingness to experiment and consistently improve methodologies and problem-solving approaches.Australian working rights and availability to work from our Sydney-based office.Bonus Points If You Have:Experience working with Python or SQL for data wrangling, profiling, or automation.Experience setting up basic database structures and processing data for automation.Hands-on experience with business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio).Understanding of SEO data structures, including Google Search Console and Ahrefs.Experience with tag management systems (GTM, Tealium, Adobe Launch) for analytics implementation.What’s in It for You?Salary: A$55,000 – A$65,000 per year full-time (pro-rated for part-time).Career Growth: Structured training, mentorship, and multiple paths for career progression in data analytics and SEO.Diverse Experience: Work across multiple industries and verticals, including finance, health, FMCG, legal, education, etc.Learning & Development: Dedicated budget for training, certifications, and conferences (local and international).Industry Recognition: Attend exclusive knowledge-sharing sessions with global SEO & data experts.Networking & Events: Paid travel to digital marketing conferences worldwide.Great Office Culture: A fun, collaborative team with regular events, Friday drinks, and monthly paid lunches.Convenient Location: Surry Hills office, 5 mins from Central Station, with all equipment provided.Interested?
