THE ROLE:
Our client has an exciting opportunity for a passionate and results-driven Business Development Manager who will focus on developing and growing the commercial business in Victoria, in particular the Education Segment. The successful candidate will be a highly-motivated individual who can add value and make a significant contribution to the company's aggressive growth objectives.
4. Position the business as the IT brand and vendor of choice in the Victoria Education segment.
5. Find and win new business with previous Channel development experience.
6. Build strategic relationships with targeted accounts and maximise business penetration in existing accounts.
7. Conduct market analysis of the Education segment and develop the appropriate sales strategy.
8. Set and monitor sales performance indicators to ensure effective execution of business plan, in line with the organisation's business objectives.
9. Achieve agreed Education sales targets.
10. Manage all Sales-related activities in the allocated market segment.
ABOUT YOU:
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate would be self-motivated, customer-focused, enthusiastic, and results-oriented.
11. Previous experience/knowledge of the Education sector
12. Experience as a sales professional in the IT industry, preferably PC/hardware sales.
13. Previous experience with resellers and channel partners who do business in the education sector
14. Proven track record in sales strategy implementation and delivery of results.
15. Knowledge of the IT industry and product trends.
16. Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
17. Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
