The Family Support Service is a collaboration between MacKillop and Danila Dilba Health Service, funded by Territory Families, Housing and Communities.
This service coordinates a system response to high and complex needs, trauma, and engages with the broader service system.
The Family Support Service prioritises sector partnership and collaboration, based on evidence and focused outcomes.
Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Practitioner to oversee case management and case work services for the Family Support Service.
This role will provide leadership by mentoring, supporting, and supervising Practitioners, Aboriginal Family Support Workers, and other staff as needed.
The position involves undertaking complex case management processes and requires a deep understanding of Aboriginal culture and values.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide quality mentoring, support, and supervision to case managers, family support workers, and other staff.
* Undertake complex case management processes and engage with the broader service system.
* Work effectively with families affected by family and domestic violence.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Child Development, Psychology, or a related subject area.
* Minimum 3 years of case management experience, including the management of complex cases.
* Demonstrated experience working with vulnerable children, young people, and families in a trauma-informed way.
* Awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people, and their families.
What We Offer
* Hourly Rate of $53.84 to $56.22 as outlined in the SCHADS Award Level 6.
* Salary packaging up to $18,550 per year.
