Zoos SA operates two iconic, award-winning South Australian destinations: Adelaide Zoo and Monarto Safari Park. We are a not-for-profit conservation charity dedicated to connecting people with nature and saving species from extinction. Our organisation offers conservation education, supports and conducts conservation, breeding, and research programs, both in-situ and ex-situ. We are currently embarking on exciting new accommodation and safari developments at Monarto Safari Park.
ABOUT THE ROLE...
In this exciting newly created role, you will report to the Tourism Manager and work closely with various stakeholders to ensure the successful coordination and execution of our tourism activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Tourism Manager in the development and implementation of tourism strategies.
* Assist in managing relationships with tourism industry partners and stakeholders.
* Coordinate trade bookings and provide support to the reservations team.
* Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns, both domestic and international.
* Coordinate the development of itineraries and tourism packages with third-party partners.
* Contribute to maintaining tourism accreditations and certifications such as ECO Advanced Certification.
* Provide administrative support for tourism events and initiatives.
ABOUT YOU...
Skills and Experience
* Proven experience working in tourism or a similar role.
* Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
* Strong organisational abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Experience in tourism marketing or trade sales would be an advantage.
* Ability to work as part of a dynamic team and contribute to its overall goals and objectives.
* Basic understanding of tourism distribution channels and IT systems.
Essential Criteria
* Tertiary qualifications in tourism, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* A current Driver’s Licence.
* Police Clearance.
* Willing to work between Zoos SA sites, both Adelaide Zoo and Monarto Safari Park.
