Government - State (Government & Defence) Our state government client is looking for an ICT sourcing manager to lead a brand-new project.Your new company Our client is a state government department where the finance and procurement business units provide department-wide financial, procurement and workplace services through strategic leadership. They are currently working on a brand-new project where the successful candidate will manage a team of ICT sourcing staff and lead sourcing activities to support the project.Your new role Sourcing Manager - An initial 3-6 months contract with likely extension at the back end, will be responsible for managing complex sourcing activity. Implement and execute ICT sourcing activities to establish contracts across a range of complex goods and services Manage a team of sourcing staff to support the Senior Manager with ICT sourcing Provide expert procurement and commercial advice Implement and manage a delivery and reporting framework to ensure day-to-day operation of the team Support and implement policies and processes and make recommendations to the wider team regarding continuous improvement opportunities. Provide strategic commercial and procurement advice and guidance including insights into commercial modelling What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you'll come with extensive IT procurement lead experience with demonstrated experience and knowledge of procurement, project delivery and stakeholder management.You will bring a well-developed understanding of Victorian Government Purchasing Board policies, procedures, and guidelines.What you'll get in return With this opportunity, you'll receive the chance to work on a new IT solutions programme.You will be involved with high-value and highly technical procurement activities which don't come around every day in a Victorian government setting.
