You will drive technology adoption, guiding our team through the adoption of cutting-edge lending technologies, ensuring successful implementation and integration into our existing systems.You will also drive cultural change leadership, fostering a culture of excellence within the credit team, focusing on improving decision-making quality and consistency. Your leadership will align the team with the organization's strategic goals and ensure a high level of performance. Lastly, you will bring your high-level credit decisioning alongside your extensive Lending Authority experience, playing a key role in making critical credit decisions.What we’re looking for:Industry Expertise – Deep experience in transformation and technology adoption within the lending industry, with a history of successfully leading major initiatives.Leadership in Cultural Change – Strong leadership skills, with the ability to drive cultural change and improve the quality and consistency of credit decision-making within a team.Lending Authority – Extensive experience in high-level credit decision-making, with a proven track record of making sound, strategic credit decisions.Stakeholder Engagement – Ability to negotiate and influence stakeholders with a deep understanding of their motivations and the ability to find common ground.About youAs our new Senior Manager Credit Operations and Performance, you will bring the following skills:Five years plus in Operational and/or Lending processing leadership roles.Detailed knowledge of banking operations in lending and credit assessment.Extensive leadership capabilities with an ability to lead, motivate, and inspire a team coupled with strong people management skills.Experience in structured analysis to address complex business problems and challenges, quantify opportunities, and implement recommendations.Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and the ability to build financial models and perform sophisticated analyses to drive performance and efficiencies.Strong industry knowledge on banking credit policies, digital assessment, automation, and digital transformation.Capability to deal with key internal stakeholders at all levels i.e., Executives, Senior Leaders, and staff.Ability to be a good ambassador for the Bank in a variety of external environments.Effective customer and partner experience management and continuous service improvement across a multiple function unit.Proven experience in leading diverse and geographically dispersed teams with successful business outcomes.We offer flexible work options that put our people first and a hybrid model of minimum x2 days in a local Head Office per week.This role is a full-time, permanent, based at any of our head office locations.With over 7,000 employees, we are Australia’s fifth largest retail bank with a vision and purpose – ‘to feed into the prosperity of our customers and communities, not off it’.
