About the Role
Step into the pivotal role of Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) and become a key player in our mental health services team. In this dynamic position, you'll support the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) in leading and guiding nursing staff while promoting continuity and consistency of care. Your portfolio will involve implementing practice changes, managing staffing and resources, and fostering collaboration among team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes. You'll play a vital role in shaping the future of mental health care within our facility, working closely with a multidisciplinary team.
As an ANUM, you'll be accountable for your own practice standards and will have the opportunity to mentor and develop less experienced nurses. Your expertise will be essential in delivering comprehensive nursing care and individual case management for consumers with complex needs. Engaging in educational activities, counselling, and group work will form a crucial part of your role, as you strive to enhance consumer health and recovery. About You
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled mental health nurse to join our team. If you’re passionate about providing high-quality care and supporting staff development, this role is for you!
5. Registered Nurse with current practising certificate and a Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing.
6. Proven leadership skills in communication, problem solving, and conflict resolution.
7. At least three years' post-registration experience in mental health nursing.
8. Strong understanding of mental health theories, legislative responsibilities, and quality improvement systems.
