The role
This role is responsible for delivering high-quality trade services within Queensland Health facilities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, codes, and policies. Key duties include performing preventative and corrective maintenance tasks, ensuring material availability, and meeting required standards. The position also involves providing expert advice on electrical services, assisting in quotations and reports, and maintaining accurate work documentation. Additionally, responsibilities include supporting asset management systems, adhering to quality and safety standards, and contributing to a safe and efficient workplace.
The successful candidate will have experience in electrical maintenance within a production environment, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, effective stakeholder communication, and a commitment to workplace safety are essential. A Queensland-recognised Electrical Trade Qualification and licence are required, with additional certifications such as structured cabling endorsement, LVR/CPR, and working at heights being highly regarded. The role may require participation in an on-call roster, out-of-hours work, and travel across multiple facilities, necessitating a valid C Class driver's licence.
