Victoria Daly Regional Council is looking for a part-time Community Broadcasting Officer based in Nauiyu, NT.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide general support for the broadcasting serviceAssist with the delivery of the broadcasting serviceLiaise with community members to assist in the development of broadcasting contentAssist with looking after radio equipmentLiaison with stakeholders for supportWhat you'll bring to the teamSelection Criteria
Education Requirements
Training for this position will be provided with TEABBA Radio.Experience and Knowledge Requirements
Ability to be able to speak publicly to members of the communityDemonstrated skills in radio presentationKnowledge of basic computer systems and software applicable to the positionKnowledge of the relevant Australian aboriginal language for the location (desirable)Previous experience and knowledge of, or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of broadcasting servicesPrevious experience in working with indigenous people or in situations requiring sensitivity to cultural differencesOther Requirements
