Applicants should be mindful that we carry out working with children and reference checks to ensure that we are recruiting the right people.Your New Role:Part time, permanent role with 60 hours per fortnight.Home Interaction Program for Parents and Youngsters (HIPPY) is an early childhood enrichment program that works with parents of young children in disadvantaged communities. Through regular home visits and group activities over a two-year period, parents are provided with the materials, skills and confidence to enable them to help their children prepare for a successful start to school life.Deliver weekly training of HIPPY Curriculum and enrichment training for HIPPY Tutors.Supervise and develop personalised work plans for HIPPY Tutors.Engage with community stakeholders to promote the program and recruit families.Participate in community projects connecting with other HIPPY sites and community organisations that support families and children.Facilitate groups/events whilst mentoring HIPPY Tutors in these skills and incorporating enrichment topics (learning) for families within the group.Participate in supervision with both Play Matters Australia and HIPPY Australia.Hold or be eligible to hold a Working with Children Check.Tertiary qualifications and/or experience in early childhood, and/or community development/disability, family support or related fields.Adherence to policies, procedures, legal and safety obligations.Ability to communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders and initiate and develop community networks.Experience and/or knowledge in disability, inclusion and/or mental health.Experience working with families from varying social and cultural backgrounds.Experience managing a team including planning and supervision.Culture and Benefits:Work locally in the Ipswich region.Work collaboratively with other HIPPY sites.Cultural leave.Supportive national team.Ongoing supervision.EAP Support.In our last 2 annual employee engagement surveys, the highlights for staff were:Having good working relationships.Believing that Play Matters Australia positively impacts lives.Feeling personally supported by someone at work.Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging StatementAt Play Matters Australia, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
