About the role
We're seeking world-class educators to inspire the next generation of Horticulture students.
TAFE NSW are seeking individuals to work as a Head Teacher of Horticulture located at the Wagga Wagga Campus.
Travel will be required in the Riverina area.
Share your expertise and passion for horticulture, build the skills, qualifications, and employability, and support the career goals of our students.
About You
You are an aspiring or experienced leader and enjoy working in a collaborative and innovative way to lead and develop a team.
You will be required to use your strong interpersonal skills when liaising with industry and community and will utilise your sound negotiation skills when problem solving and meeting deadlines.
To be successful in this role, you must:
* Hold a Certificate III or higher qualification in Horticulture, Landscape Construction or Parks and Gardens.
* Appropriate subject knowledge, skills and vocational qualifications in the discipline and a commitment to maintain technical currency.
* Meet the selection criteria in the position description.
* Hold the TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent.
* Evidence of successful completion of an approved program of teacher education, or evidence of successful completion of an acceptable teaching qualification.
* Current (AQF) Level 5 or higher qualification in Vocational Education and Training (VET) OR hold a TAE40122 or equivalent and commit to obtaining the AQF Level 5 or Higher qualification within 18 months of employment.
