About This Role
Urgently seeking a skilled Technical Writer to support our client within the Energy sector. This is a residential role and is open to candidates presently residing in Darwin. Duration of contract will be initially for approx 9 months with a possible view to extend.
You will be responsible for:
1. Refining and standardising critical documentation to support operations and maintenance functions
2. Ensuring that procedures, work instructions, and operational documents are clear, consistent, and compliant with industry standards
3. Updating, optimising and formatting operational procedures and work instructions to ensure clarity, accuracy and usability
4. Working closely with departments to gather, review and validate technical content
5. Ensuring all documentation aligns with Company standards, regulatory requirements and industry best practices
6. Managing and maintaining document integrity within document control systems, ie Aconex, SharePoint, Documentum
7. Identifying opportunities to improve the structure and presentation of technical documents
8. Ensuring compliance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements related to documentation
9. Conducting quality assurance checks, peer reviews, and feedback sessions to enhance document effectiveness
Requirements
1. Previous experience in Technical Writing in refining procedures and work instructions within the Resources sector
2. Proficiency in MS Office Suite with expertise in document formatting, templates and style guides
3. Previous experience in Document Control systems
4. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
5. Excellent communication skills, with a strong focus on detail and document accuracy
