The Role
Bring your skills and expertise and join us in the role of Chef de Partie, where you will have the opportunity to share your creative flair within our talented Kitchen Team.
As Chef De Partie you will hold the following main responsibilities:
Manage your own section ensuring a smooth service delivery as well as assisting with other sections as required
You will control the pass when required and ensure food costs are kept to within the budget along with managing labour costs
Ensure high quality and presentation of food provided to guests, according to property standards and timeframes of service
Lead, train and mentor junior kitchen staff
Support, as required, with menu preparation, stock control and ordering
Maintain a safe clean and organised work environment with emphasis on high food safety standards
About You
You are highly driven, creative and passionate about what you do. You are excited when using local produce to create amazing food memories for our guests.
You are reliable, calm and able to think outside the box. You will also hold:
Formal qualifications in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
Previous experience as a Demi Chef, minimum 18 months
Demonstrated experience in leading a team
A confident and creative cooking style with a strong emphasis on quality and presentation
Experience in catering for Conferences & Events will be highly regarded
The ability to deliver consistent, high quality food whilst motivating and empowering junior kitchen team members
A flexible approach in adapting to guest requests and ensuring dietary requirements are managed appropriately
Strong time management skills, impeccable attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure
Demonstrated understanding and commitment to food safety legislation and HACCP
Food Safety Supervisor certificate is desirable
