About the Role
As an Engineer working within Web Experience Engineering, you will be responsible for developing and shaping new exciting customer experiences, building ANZ Plus as the bank of tomorrow. You will be working in a large team, collaborating closely and focused on improving our application.

What will your day look like?
As a Software Engineer, you are expected to focus on best practice approaches on software engineering and development. You will be delivering high quality features to our users. We spent the past year developing our platform. We are now moving to the next phase of development, leveraging our work and developing dedicated ANZ Plus web experiences. You will be part of a team that will help us improve and refine our tech choices. We currently use Next.js 14, managing the project with Nx and rely on gRPC for our APIs. Using continuous development we release our code to production multiple times every day.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
1. 4+ years of web or application development experience.
2. 2+ years working with React, or similar framework.
3. Strong understanding of software engineering principles.
4. Ability to demonstrate UI design literacy.
5. Ability to demonstrate working within cloud environments such as GCP, AWS or Azure.
6. Experience with frontend unit testing and familiarity with testing-libraries.
7. Familiarity with a type system, or a willingness to learn.
8. A good understanding of WCAG Accessibility 2.0, Level AA or higher.
9. Experience with working with continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment.
10. Working in an agile team environment including relevant tools.
