THE OPPORTUNITY
As a National Imports Coordinator you will be responsible for ensuring the storage and flow of manufactured and bought-in goods from manufacturing sites, warehouses and 3PL locations in AU/NZ, as well as imported goods from overseas. This is an exciting opportunity with the ability to have genuine impact in the work you will do.
Based at our corporate office in Gepps Cross, reporting to the Senior National Logistics Coordinator, the primary focus of this role is to ensure the efficient storage and distribution of goods in accordance with sales and stock targets. You will place orders, manage product pricing, expedite delivery and receiving, ensuring sufficient capacity exists within the supply chain, and understand and manage costs. You will be involved in many projects to improve efficiency and accuracy leading to improved service levels in the supply chain.
In this position you will be the integration point between the national supply chain, merchandising, and e-commerce teams and the state-based purchasing, warehousing, despatch, and logistics teams.
ABOUT YOU
4. Essential - Experience in supply chain, warehousing, logistics, in particular import and container management
5. Essential - Hands-on experience working with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP
6. Essential - Demonstrated competency of MS Excel. Able to do reporting, provide analysis and charts and prepare tenders and presentations
7. Desirable - Manufacturing industry experience
8. Desirable - Tertiary qualifications in Procurement, Supply Chain or Logistics Management
9. Experience developing collaborative working relationships with peers, managers, and service providers
10. Evidence of working with suppliers to resolve issues, develop solutions and collaborate
11. Strong attention to detail skills with the proven ability to think outside the box
12. Exceptional communication skills and able to work independently whilst contributing within the team.
