Position Summary:
In this critical role, our client seeks a HR Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. Reporting directly into the Head of People and Culture, with 4 direct reports and based on site 5 days a week, the successful candidate will oversee operations across the Bairnsdale site.
Key Responsibilities:
6. HR Advisory Role : Be a trusted advisor for the site on all HR related matters.
7. Employee Relations: Identify and resolve any ER issues on site
8. Change Management and Organizational Development (OD) : Contributing and/or leading various change and OD initiatives collaborating with the wider HR team
9. Coaching and Mentoring : Educate site leaders on best practices when it comes to HR related matters
10. Data-Driven Decision Making : Using data and analytics to inform HR strategies, workforce planning, and talent management.
11. Employee Engagement Advocacy : Champion employee engagement activities.
12. Payroll Support : Assist payroll in rolling out a new time and attendance system.
Skills and Experience:
13. Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in HR or related field.
14. Professional Experience: Proven track record in HR management or as an HR BP who is ready to step up, within a unionized environment.
15. Communication Skills: Exceptional negotiation and leadership abilities.
16. Problem-Solving Aptitude: Logical and analytical mindset.
17. Legal and Policy Knowledge: Understanding of HR policies, practices, and employment legislation.
18. Collaborative Approach: Ability to build effective partnerships across the organization.
