Reporting directly into the Head of People and Culture, with 4 direct reports and based on site 5 days a week, the successful candidate will oversee operations across the Bairnsdale site.
Key Responsibilities: HR Advisory Role : Be a trusted advisor for the site on all HR related matters.
Employee Relations: Identify and resolve any ER issues on site Change Management and Organizational Development (OD) : Contributing and/or leading various change and OD initiatives collaborating with the wider HR team Coaching and Mentoring : Educate site leaders on best practices when it comes to HR related matters Data-Driven Decision Making : Using data and analytics to inform HR strategies, workforce planning, and talent management.
Employee Engagement Advocacy : Champion employee engagement activities.
Payroll Support : Assist payroll in rolling out a new time and attendance system.
Skills and Experience: Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in HR or related field.
Professional Experience: Proven track record in HR management or as an HR BP who is ready to step up, within a unionized environment.
Communication Skills: Exceptional negotiation and leadership abilities.
Problem-Solving Aptitude: Logical and analytical mindset.
Legal and Policy Knowledge: Understanding of HR policies, practices, and employment legislation.
Collaborative Approach: Ability to build effective partnerships across the organization.
