They manage funds of over $80 billion for Victorian public authorities and related organisations across insurance, superannuation, health, arts, education, and service agencies.VFMC is a diverse and collaborative team that is united by a single purpose: Improving the future prosperity of Victoria by delivering market-leading, long-term returns.About the RoleSitting within the Fixed Income asset class, the Credit team is responsible for managing VFMC's direct exposures to primarily Australian-domiciled credit invested via bonds, loans, structured credit and credit derivatives. This strategy encompasses both investment grade and sub-investment grade securities and is managed to achieve an absolute return.The successful candidate will assist in the assessment, transacting and ongoing management of VFMC's internally managed credit investments.Key Responsibilities:Undertake due diligence of potential and existing credit investments.Undertake qualitative and quantitative research and analysis on individual credits primarily in the Australian market across different sectors and security types.Assist in preparation and presentation of investment approval documentation when required.Manage documentation preparation and execution as well as settlement of loan securities.Preparation and maintenance of information on portfolio positioning and performance, including preparation of regular reporting and updates.Be a regular and proactive contributor to Credit, Fixed Income and Investment Team discussion on market and economic trends and direction.Build and maintain internal relationships across the VFMC Investment team and supporting functions as to contribute to a whole of portfolio approach to investing.Represent VFMC to external stakeholders, including but not limited to intermediaries, counterparties and peer groups.Undertake appropriate risk and compliance monitoring.Be personally responsible for adherence to assigned risk management activities.Key Requirements:A tertiary qualification in commerce/economics/accounting, with relevant postgraduate study/qualification (e.g. CFA) highly regarded.3-5 years relevant experience in aligned roles in financial services, with a preference for banking or transaction management experience.Experience in assessing, executing and managing loan transactions, including legal documentation review.Highly competent in financial modelling, including three-way statement models, with an ability to use for problem-solving and presenting information to others.Proactive and independent thinker who can collaborate across the organisation.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.This is the perfect role for you, if:You are currently working in a professional services organisation, a superannuation fund investment team, bank non-bank lender.You have experience in private credit and have a strong interest in further developing your experience within the credit and fixed-income domain.You are keen to learn, have great technical skills and are ready to join a flexible, high-performing, supportive and fun organisation where the focus is on inclusion and delivering a way of work that enables everyone to be their best.If you are interested in learning more about the opportunity, please contact Jeremy Easy | ****** | 0432 230 245 at Kaizen Recruitment for a confidential discussion or apply directly.#J-18808-Ljbffr
