About the role
As a member of the Calvary Home Care team and as an experienced RN, you will provide care to high acuity clients from various short term/long terms programs. You will provide complex care to all clients by working both independently and as part of a team. Some of our benefits include but are limited to are, AM/PM shifts, Fulltime/Part time work and Ongoing education/Training.
Key Responsibilities
* Administration of IV, IM, SC and PO medications
* IV Cannulation
* Provide complex wound care
* Accurate/ Timely documentation in all client records.
* Appropriate communication within the clinical team to ensure care is provided.
* Complete initial assessments/develop care plans to ensure best outcome for our clients.
* Monitor and update care plans to ensure appropriate care is provided
* Deliver education to client and families to enable best possible outcome.
* Recognise and respond to clinical deterioration, with appropriate escalation.
What you bring
* Current AHPRA Nursing Registration
* Willing to obtain appropriate checks – NDIS and Police Clearance
* Use of own car – KM allowance provided
* Full drivers licence
* CPR and Manual handling
* Minimum 1 year acute experience
* Candidates with an understanding of the community nursing sector - Home Care Packages, Department of Veteran Affairs and Commonwealth Home Support Program will be considered favourably
* A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
