As the Assistant Accountant, you will assist with the day-to-day maintenance of the P&L, Balance Sheet Reconciliations and preparing Key Reports.
In addition, support the Fixed Assets Accountant with the maintenance of the Fixed Assets Register - Additions, Disposals, Depreciation & Reconciliations.Note: This is a Fixed Term Contract - 12 month Maternity Leave.Preparing Weekly and Month End Standing Journals, Adhoc Journals, Prepayments and Accruals;Preparing Balance Sheet reconciliations;Preparing key Reports – Expense Transactions lists, MHE Damage Reports, Transport billing Reports and Other Reports as required;Provide assistance to internal and external customers including remote sites, the Corporate office associates and vendors regarding questions or concerns about invoices, and work with vendors who are seeking payment and/or need information;Assist with weekly and monthly QSR Inventory reconciliation process by reconciling Key Balance Sheet Accounts;Complete ABS reports and requirements;Assist in compiling reports for internal and external audit;Preparation of the Weekly Gross Margin Report – Maintaining Revenue & Labour Reporting;Assist in any ad hoc projects undertaken by finance;Assist the Operations Team, Finance Team, Shared Services Supervisor as required.What Experience And Education You Will NeedPrior Oracle EPM / Hyperion experience, including preparing SmartView queries is desirable;2-3 years of finance experience;Accounting Degree or near completion;Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;Competent use of the Microsoft Office suite of products, especially Microsoft Excel;Ability to work independently when tasks are assigned, but also able to work as part of a small team to meet internal deadlines;Ability to work within and deliver to deadlines;Good attention to detail;Hands on approach;Strong verbal and written communication skills;Strong analysis, problem solving skills.What We OfferOur associates know the answer to the question What's in it for me?
