The Impact You’ll Make;
The Die Setter is responsible for the implementation of the daily die setting program, upkeep and routine maintenance of tooling and machines. The role promotes the company’s OH&S policies and procedures, ensuring they are always followed, and promotes QA policies to ensure they are in place and adhered to.
Follow and adhere to OH&S procedures (processes, use of PPE, and housekeeping) within the production team at all times.
Perform daily die/insert changes according to the plan/schedule.
Conduct first-off inspection of new campaigns upon completion of tool changes.
Ensure work centres, moulding machines, and tools are clean, safe, and efficiently set up as part of the tool change for the next campaign.
Safely handle and store tools, inserts, and lifting devices.
Maintain cleanliness and correct labelling of tools.
Clean ongoing production tools at least once per week and keep records of tool condition and maintenance.
Respond to machine alarms promptly.
Raise tooling issues with the supervisor.
Assist in machine/equipment repairs and maintenance.
Support continuous operation by covering shifts (a/s & n/s) on request and on a temporary basis.
Assist continuous operation by learning and troubleshooting auto packaging machines.
About You;
Holds a current Forklift Licence
2-3 years of experience in Plastics Injection Moulding, Die Setting, and Machine setting and troubleshooting.
Self-motivated, flexible, and able to work autonomously.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Awareness of quality standards and risk management.
Good interpersonal skills.
Strong process analytical skills.
Knowledge in electrics, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
Literacy, computer, and negotiation skills.
Systems knowledge is desirable.
