Teaching Focused Lecturer, you will contribute to the innovation of learning, teaching, and assessment, and lead in the design and delivery of education at the University within the context of the Future Fit strategic plan.You are expected to make a significant contribution to teaching practice within the Academic Success directorate at UNE.The UNE academic development, career, and promotion frameworks will support your success in this position.In this full-time role, you are expected to be based at and support all students studying at UNE's Sydney Metro campus to improve their academic literacy, focusing particularly on students from non-English speaking backgrounds (NESB) and international students.As a Lecturer (Academic Skills), you will be responsible for identifying the specific needs of these cohorts and contributing to the development and delivery of teaching in various forms, and helping to create resources that focus on critical academic skills such as writing, reading comprehension, and oral communication in English.Additionally, you will collaborate with faculty and other university support services to ensure a holistic approach to student learning.This position requires a deep understanding of students' challenges in academic language and learning and strong ability to implement effective pedagogical strategies that enhance learning outcomes for all students, particularly those facing language barriers.About you To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following: Commitment to student-centred forms of learning that support
