Job Description
We are currently offering an opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join us as an Automation Engineer. This is a 2 year, maximum-term, full-time opportunity based at our Head Office in Clayton and will involve occasional local and interstate travel.
Position responsibilities will include:
1. Designing, Commissioning and Deploying automation solutions
2. Training, guiding, and supporting Bosch automation engineers in the use of automation systems
3. Developing Software Requirement Specifications for automation solutions
4. Developing automation software for PLC/HMI/SCADA/DRIVES and NETWORKS in timely fashion
5. Commissioning automation software for PLC/HMI/SCADA/DRIVES and NETWORKS in timely fashion
6. Deploying automation software for PLC/HMI/SCADA/DRIVES and NETWORKS at the customer site
7. Collaborating with other engineering teams including Mechanical, Electrical & Robotics
8. Commissioning Allen Bradley Studio 5000 and Siemens TIA Portal and others
9. Involvement in customer support services
Qualifications
We are looking for a conscientious professional with the ability to work across multiple business units, manage diverse topics and priorities, and establish effective relationships across all levels of the organisation.
To be considered for this position you are required to meet the following criteria:
1. Tertiary qualification in a relevant engineering discipline (preferably Mechatronics, Electrical, or Computing).
2. Sound industrial automation experience
3. Experience with Allen Bradley & Siemens PLCs and automation devices is highly desirable
4. Strong background in software development and commissioning for PLC / SCADA / HMI / Drives & Networks is essential
5. Experience with Siemens & Rockwell PLCs
6. Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
7. Effective time management and organisational skills
8. Attention to detail
9. Ability to explain complex processes clearly
10. Capability to train and lead others
