Launch are seeking an experienced Adabas-D / Natural Developer to join a large complex environment for a 12 month contract.Due to the nature of the organisation, you would need to be an Australian citizen or a permanent resident.Location: Melbourne CBDDuration: 12 month contract Key Responsibilities: Software Development and Maintenance: Design, develop, test, and maintain Adabas-D and Natural.Write efficient, reusable, and reliable code according to specifications.Perform code reviews and ensure compliance with coding standards.Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in a timely manner.Project Management and Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.Collaborate with project managers to plan, execute, and deliver projects on time and within budget.Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings as part of the Agile development process.System Integration and Optimization: Integrate new software with existing systems and platforms.Optimize application performance and ensure scalability.Identify and implement improvements to existing processes and systems.Quality Assurance: Ensure that software solutions are thoroughly tested and meet the highest quality standards.Collaborate with QA teams to define and implement test strategies and plans.Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.10+ years of experience in Natural development with Adabas-D.Strong understanding of mainframe environments and related technologies.Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.Experience with software development methodologies, particularly Agile/Scrum.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Create and maintain detailed technical documentation.Conduct training sessions to improve the technical skills of the team.If you are interested please do reach out to Sophie Garrison: ****** #J-18808-Ljbffr
