This role is based in Adelaide, at our Head Office in Morphettville.Reporting to the General Manager – Engineering, the Electrical Engineer will be responsible for developing detailed electrical designs that comply with client and site requirements. As part of this role, it is expected the Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for some of the following:Lead engineering projects in the mining, utility, resource & renewables sectors.Designing power systems, including primary plant, secondary systems, earthing and lightning protection.Designing electrical schematics and logic drawings.Undertake computer-based modelling and analysis of industrial and utility power systems.Reviewing and preparing detailed documentation such as reports, specifications, and drawings.Perform factory testing and site commissioning activities.Developing engineering standards and processes.This role requires familiarity with applicable Australian Standards, attention to detail, and a focus on producing smarter engineering solutions.Essential criteria & experience required:Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering (or similar) and minimum 5 years’ experience.Detailed knowledge of Australian Standards related to Electrical Systems.Power systems experience in the mining, utility, resource & renewables sectors.Willing to learn with an adaptable, flexible & positive attitude.The ability to work in a close team environment and interface with clients.Self-starter who takes ownership of tasks through to completion.Construction industry white card.Member of Engineers Australia (or eligible).CPEng / Registered Engineer status (preferred).Experience with commissioning of electrical systems.Experience with substation communication protocols.RJE Global invests in our staff by providing a high-performance work environment, CPEng pathways and ongoing training.
