Position Details We are seeking a warm and relational Early Childhood Teacher in a full-time capacity for 12 months with capacity to offer permanency after probation. Qualification to teach at Early Childhood level with previous teaching experience within an Early Learning Centre as part of a school highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a Teaching and Learning Team. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with students, staff and parents. Proficiency in Digital Technology. Demonstrated effective pedagogical practice in an ELC with strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (v2) and the principles and practices of the Reggio Emilia approach. Demonstrated ability to create and engage in a respectful and collaborative classroom culture. Able to manage the demands of the position including administration and professional responsibilities. Ability to actively contribute to the Christian life of the College community. Selection Criteria A proven understanding of Early Years Learning Framework including differentiated approaches to learning through play and inquiry work. Demonstrated pedagogical approaches to design learning with and for children, and to make this visible through varied documentation capabilities. Ability to use data to inform teaching for improved student learning through critical reflection. Demonstrated ability to assess children's learning; for, of and as they learn through various modes. Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the capacity to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with parents, students and staff. Well-developed classroom management and communication skills that foster restorative approaches. Understanding of and ability to teach from a Christian worldview.
