Reporting to the Production Manager, the key focus of this role is to ensure the safe and compliant receival of raw materials and premixes, monitor and control production of the finished products, and ensure the feed is efficiently packed and labelled. This will initially be an afternoon shift position with flexibility of hours depending on operational requirements and may transition to a rotating shift in the future if required.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start their career in a fast-paced environment. Ridley prides itself on providing opportunities for career development and progression for employees who demonstrate potential, including a career path from Mill Production Operator to Shift Supervisor.The RoleThe key responsibilities for this position include:Inventory reconciliation and reportingStocktaking as requiredOperating a raw material receival computerized production lineEnsure at all times that the plant and equipment meet specified standards and are in safe working conditionAll Raw Material testing requirements are completed as per Ridley receivals testing proceduresS4 allocation and premix addition are accurate and reconciledAny other responsibilities and/or authorities as specifically designated by Site Manager or DelegateIdentify and report non-conformances as per Ridley processUnloading transport vehicles including finished feed, raw materials, premix, and additives as per Ridley receival standardsYou will haveBasic literacy and numeracy skillsUnderstanding of site HACCP PlanUnderstanding of site safety Policies and ProceduresSound knowledge of OH&S and Environmental Policies and LegislationSound computing skills5+ years manufacturing experience (desirable)How to applyIf you are a motivated and reliable individual and meet the qualifications outlined above, please click ‘apply for this job’ and submit your resume and cover letter.
