The Company:Our client is way ahead of the rest when it comes to specialising the needs of those most vulnerable & creating new ways to improve their lives, improve their systems & improve their experiences whilst a part of this organisation.The Role:A 9-month contract standalone Payroll Officer position based from their Brisbane office, you will proactively coordinate, process, and manage all aspects of the payroll function to ensure accuracy, efficiency and expediency, with a high level of customer service and responsiveness.Some of the daily duties whilst in this role include but are not limited to:Payroll ProcessingBe first point of contact for payroll enquiriesMaintain a high level of service and responsiveness to all employees and stakeholdersProcess the payroll in accurate and timely manner to meet the payroll deadlines on a weekly & fortnightly basisAccurately set up and maintain employee recordsEnsure new starters and terminations are processed efficiently and in a timely mannerEnsure constant maintenance of employee recordsEnsure all pay queries are responded and processed within the required timelineEnsure any changes in rates, salary or employee terms and conditions are updated in a timely mannerEnsure EFT is completed accurately and processed on timePrepare of all termination payments including redundancy payments and settlementsPrepare any back pay calculations where necessaryIndustrial Relations and Payroll Related LegislationEnsure detailed knowledge and working understanding of all Industrial Instruments that govern the businessKeep up to date with any legislation changes, including but not limited to superannuation, workers compensation, terminations, leave etcPromptly advise and communicate to the business any changes that may affect employeesLiaise with third party agencies regarding pay matters such as salary, PAYG and employment details (eg financial institutions, ATO, Centrelink, Child Support Agency, superannuation funds etc)Maintain strict confidence on matters pertaining to employee’s pay, condition and personal informationThe Candidate:Technical Skills / QualificationsWorking knowledge and experience of HRIS/Payroll/Rostering platformsExperience with a Time & Attendance (T&A) systemProficient in Microsoft Office, especially ExcelExperience / RequirementsExperience with high volume payroll and T&A in a large operating businessStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent communication and customer service skillsFlexible and adaptable, highly organised and timeline drivenOpen to change, challenges and improvementHigh level of initiative and driveHigh level of customer service and responsivenessEXPERIENCE WITH SAGE MICROPAY & KRONOS WILL BE HIGHLY REGARDED!!!THIS IS A STANDALONE ROLE!!!STRONG ADVANCED EXPERIENCE WITH END-TO-END PAYROLL PROCESSING IS MANDATORY TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE!!!What's on Offer:$100,000 + Super (depending on experience)Standalone PositionBrisbane Office3 Days in the Office2 Days Work From HomeGood Company Culture & Fun TeamAmazing ManagerIf you are looking for a standout opportunity and are excited by the details above, please apply to Jackson McDonald at Appreciating Payroll today using the links provided... this opportunity won't last long!I specialise in recruiting Payroll Officers & Senior Payroll Officer level roles across Sydney, if you would like a confidential chat about your next career move please reach out to me: jackson@appreciating-payroll.com.au
