The Australian Internet Observatory is a new, four-year national research infrastructure initiative that will create an interconnected ecosystem of people, data and tools to support innovative approaches to the collection and analysis of digital social data across a range of disciplines and sectors..What you need to succeedEducation, training, and/or experience equivalent to postgraduate qualifications and relevant experience in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or another relevant quantitative field.Proven experience in developing and maintaining data processing pipelines for data integration and transformation and collecting data from a variety of sources including browser, mobile and APIs.Highly developed technical problem-solving skills with ability to take ownership of a complex problem and provide solutions; and strong analytical skills and an ability to perform root cause analysis.Demonstrated experience working in a highly collaborative research context on software development, data analysis, or similar technical projects, preferably following Agile methodologies.Demonstrated methodical approach to developing and documenting software, data, and data products, including using modern code management practices.Demonstrated knowledge in applying empirical research methods and techniques to the design, development, and evaluation of web/software solutions, evidenced through publication or other equivalent outputs.Proven experience in the presentation of project outcomes and technical solutions to generalist audiences.Life at QUTWe're committed to building a culture that fosters connection between people and purpose.
