Collarcare are seeking a skilled and passionate kitchen hands to join our well renowned facilities in the Lismore & Far North Coast region.
This unique position offers an opportunity to contribute to the well-being and satisfaction of their patients by maintaining a clean and hygienic environment while also preparing delicious and nutritious meals.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare and cook meals that meet the dietary requirements and preferences of the patients.
* Plan menus in collaboration with the nutritionist and accommodate special dietary needs.
* Follow standardized recipes and ensure high-quality food presentation.
* Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, including proper storage, handling, and cooking techniques.
* Monitor inventory, order supplies, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen area.
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Cook or Chef in a healthcare setting is highly desirable.
* Culinary experience with a focus on preparing nutritious meals for a diverse population.
* Understanding of dietary requirements and restrictions commonly associated with aging and health conditions.
* Ability to work independently and efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* NDIS Clearance / Police Check / COVID Vaccinations
* Ability to start within the next 14 days.
