Randstad are proud to currently be partnering with a large State Government Department in recruiting an AO4 Executive Assistant. This role is based in Brisbane. The contract is short term with potential for extension.Your new role :Reporting to the Executive Director, you will deliver high quality executive advice, support and coordination for the Executive Director including diary management, email inbox management, and other administrative duties as required in a fast-paced and sensitive work environment.Manage all travel arrangements for the Executive Director and Directors.Manage the shared mailbox and coordinate responses to requests (from internal and external sources).Cover engagement across the organisation to ensure the Executive Director is prepared with briefings ahead of key meetings and engagements.Complete a range of administrative functions including purchase and payment of goods and services, and credit card reconciliations.Review, prioritise, direct and delegate a wide variety of complex and confidential requests that are presented to the Executive Director for consideration.Respond or redirect confidential inquiries from external or internal sources.The ideal candidate will shine in this role if they are :Previous experience working within government is highly desirable, allowing you to navigate processes and protocols with ease.Ability to provide high-quality confidential administrative support, including executive diary management, travel arrangements, and research skills.Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks will help you handle competing priorities and meet deadlines.High level written and verbal communication skills including negotiation skills to ensure high-quality and timely delivery of documents.Proven effective consultative, communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills appropriate to an environment of change and evolution of a high level of agility.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, you’ll be able to negotiate and ensure the timely, high-quality delivery of important documents.Ability to work in a team and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure business continuity.Demonstrated judgement and analytical skills to provide effective solutions in difficult situations.Extreme attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance will ensure accuracy and consistency in all aspects of your work.What You’ll Receive :Brisbane location.Learn specialist skills and knowledge.What now :Are you ready to take the next step in your career in government?
