As the Senior Partner Data, AI, Models, you will play a crucial role in ensuring BOQ Group’s risk management strategies are robust, effective, and aligned with Australian regulatory standards.
You will work closely with various divisions to implement, monitor, and assure our Risk Management Strategy (RMS) and operational risk management framework (ORMF), with a particular focus on data, AI, and models. Your responsibilities will include providing trusted advice, monitoring the control environment, and delivering meaningful analysis and reporting to support effective risk management.
This role is essential in driving a strong risk culture across the Group, embedding key risk management processes, and partnering with stakeholders to manage risks in line with regulatory expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Monitoring internal controls
2. Advising on issue management
3. Supporting annual risk profile reviews
4. Delivering assurance reviews
5. Responding to emerging risks
Additionally, you will contribute to the performance culture and capability within the Group Risk function, ensuring the organisation can achieve its strategic objectives and minimize operational disruptions impacting customers and the broader financial market.
About You:
Who are we looking for? We are looking for an individual who has successfully developed and implemented risk management frameworks and assurance strategies within a financial services organisation.
You’re a highly self-motivated, professional, and driven to achieve high standards. You balance technical, commercial, and other issues to benefit the business. With extensive experience in best practices for control design and assurance in financial services, especially in managing data and model risks, you have a strong grasp of regulatory requirements and best practices. You understand the value an effective control environment brings to a business.
You have previously designed and led assurance reviews in financial services and are skilled at driving cross-functional initiatives and meeting timelines. If this sounds like you, we would love to receive your application.
