Description About the role The role of the Senior Project Manager is to lead and inspire our delivery teams to achieve exceptional customer and organizational outcomes. You are expected to own your projects end to end and drive cross-functional delivery. This role involves advanced critical thinking, planning, directing and communicating to achieve the delivery of projects to satisfy business and portfolio objectives We are seeking 2 (two) Sr. Project Managers for a 6-month Fixed term contract role Preferably with Global Teams experience, Cantonese speaking and Domain knowledge in Pensions & Administration with an added bonus of Hong Kong local regulatory / legislative experience as the program of work involves supporting digital and transition of core legacy systems. Location: Open to Parramatta and Melbourne based candidates Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities Lead and inspire project teams to define and deliver complex and large projects (up to $10 million) across the entire lifecycle while being cognizant of the complexity, cost, urgency, risk, and stakeholder value Build strong relationships and actively collaborate across functions to support the achievement of objectives with clear and upfront mutual expectations, including with business customers. Adopt and adapt to modern ways of working using tools and techniques to achieve high productivity within a dynamic and fast-paced environment Define project scope, success criteria and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with all relevant stakeholders, accurately interpreting ideas, information and needs Apply effective governance to project tracking and reporting ensuring timely and appropriate decision making, excellent documentation management and traceability. Proactively manage variance and change requests within control mechanisms as per PMO(Project Management Office) methodology. Plan, control and monitor costs and outcomes to ensure they meet financial objectives. Engage/inspire the project team, delegating appropriately, providing clarity, direction and attention, and maintaining a collegiate and productive work environment while holding the team accountable to meet commitments. Comply to broader organizational governance requirements for reporting and tracking purposes on time every time. Manage Risks and Issues with documentation, to achieve the best possible outcomes for our client. This includes timely and appropriate escalations. Experience & Personal Attributes 12 years’ experience in managing large and complex projects/programs, with 4-5yrs experience as senior project manager. Experienced within financial services, preferably (non-essential) in superannuation, wealth and/or insurance. Strong client facing experience with strong understanding of end-to-end SDLC Experience working in Agile environment with preferred scrum master skills Strong core PM disciplines - time, cost, scope and quality Highly developed skills in planning, risk & issue management, stakeholder management and governance, including strong interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate teams Proactive and dynamic leadership skills and capability to lead multiple teams across diverse platforms Excellent organisational skills - can quickly and effectively mobilise time, budget and resources (clients and project team members) to meet requirements Excellent, clear and precise written communication and formal documentation You take the initiative, are proactive, self-motivated and have a strong work ethic Ability to build rapport, credibly and effectively at all levels.
