As we continue our expansion, we are seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant to play a pivotal role in managing our financial and management accounting functions at a group level. The Opportunity This is a broad and hands-on role within a fast-paced and evolving environment. The successful candidate will take ownership of financial reporting, compliance, and system improvements, working closely with key stakeholders across the business.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the month-end close process for corporate cost centers, ensuring accurate and timely financial reportingPrepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the Board and senior managementComplete and oversee balance sheet reconciliations across different business divisionsCoordinate and support the audit process, working closely with internal teams and external auditorsEnsure compliance with tax obligations, including statutory tax reporting, GST, FBT, and other financial compliance requirementsSupport the integration of financial systems for newly acquired businessesAssist in cash flow management and liaise with other finance teams to optimize financial planningImplement process automation and continuous improvements to enhance financial efficiency and controlsDevelop and document accounting policies and internal controls to ensure regulatory compliance and best practicesWork with cost center owners to prepare budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with financial goalsProvide financial analysis and insights to support business decision-makingBuild and maintain strong working relationships with both internal teams and external advisorsAbout You We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related disciplineCA or CPA qualification (completed)Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in a financial accounting roleStrong technical expertise in financial reporting, management accounting, and internal controlsExperience working in both corporate and professional services environments is preferredProven ability to manage compliance, financial reporting, and stakeholder engagementAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in financial software packagesStrong understanding of tax obligations and financial regulations in AustraliaExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-evolving business environmentExperience in a healthcare or service-based organisationExperience in financial system migrations and integrationsExposure to M&A activities and due diligence processesWhat's on Offer?
