About the Role The Chief Developer role is a key position in the executive leadership team, created to support the ongoing growth and expansion. The role involves managing projects and a small team, driving the development lifecycle, and ensuring high-quality UX across platforms. The ideal candidate will have expertise in PHP/Laravel, a passion for seamless UX/UI, and a commitment to accessibility and modern development practices, while fostering collaboration and mentoring less experienced team members. Responsibilities include: Collaborate with the executive leadership team to align technology with business goals. Lead and mentor a small, dynamic development team. Drive the technical strategy using your expertise in Laravel/PHP and React to create scalable & sustainable solutions. Manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, maintaining high standards of quality and security. About You As a Chief Developer, you will have a passion for innovation, be an expert with Laravel/PHP & React and have experience leading innovative projects. You will be a proactive and impact-driven individual with the foresight, agility, and wherewithal to think outside the box, prioritize effectively, and maintain a strong focus on delivering outcomes. You will have: Leadership experience, with a talent for project management and guiding development teams to success. Proven experience in software development, ideally with strong skills in PHP/Laravel & React. A strategic mindset with a strong understanding of compliance and regulatory frameworks. A collaborative approach, the ability to contribute to high-level decision-making and ready to work closely with other leaders to drive innovation. Previous experience with Learning Management Systems will be highly regarded.
