We are seeking a dedicated Senior Respiratory Scientist to join our team across the North West Coast.

The Role:
Supported by the staff specialist in respiratory medicine, this role is ideal for individuals with experience in a respiratory function unit or a similar setting, including a solid background in respiratory function testing and equipment, such as arterial blood gas testing and venepuncture. Strong spoken and written communication skills, high interpersonal abilities, and the capacity to work independently with minimal supervision is also highly desirable.
The successful Senior Respiratory Scientist will:
* Assist the Clinical Directors in the planning and management of the operation and development of a Lung Function Laboratory, providing an accredited service which is in accordance with Department requirements and national standards.
* Provide safe, high quality and compassionate patient care in delivery of laboratory operations, staff training, performance of routine and complex testing, and participation in educational and research activities.

Details of appointment:
Permanent, part time, day worker position, working up to 38 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary:
$110,425 to $121,907 pro rata, per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
* Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
* Please note that access to salaries beyond $119,290 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
