3. Rotating roster which will include weekend work and starts from 5am or finishing as late as 11pm.
Description of position:
Cuts and trims and prepares raw meat for sale using saws, knifes, grinder, and tenderizer.
Daily tasks and responsibilities :
4. Inspects and reassembles equipment sanitized previous night. Reworks display case to assess daily production needs and rotates product.
5. Brings cases of meat, up to 40kgs, from cooler and empties contents onto meat cutting or other preparation area.
6. Cuts and trims meat to Costco specification using band saw and knives. Operates tenderizing machine. Follows safety and security procedures.
7. Operates meat grinder. Dumps meat into top of machine and checks fat content of each batch from grinder. Follows proper department production procedures and standards for quality and consistency of finished product.
8. Transfers cut and ground meat to styrofoam trays. Loads styrofoam trays onto large plastic tray and transfers to large wheeled rack for wrappers. Assists with wrapping. Assists with stocking meat case according to Meat Manager’s plan for product presentation and merchandising.
9. Cleans and sanitizes area throughout the day. Performs duties to comply with health code, such as sanitation standards and maintaining proper temperatures.
10. Performs routine maintenance for machinery, equipment, and implements.
11. Provides and ensures prompt and courteous member service.
Non-Essential Functions and Tasks:
12. Assists with front end duties as necessary.
13. Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.
