Our Museums and Collections are an important part of our history, our campus life, and our civic responsibility to the city of Melbourne and beyond.As the Senior Development Manager – Museums and Cultural Partnerships, you will have the unique opportunity to support the University of Melbourne's cultural strategy. We’re seeking an experienced and passionate fundraising professional who thrives on building strong donor relationships and securing high-value gifts ranging from $200,000 to over $1 million. Your expertise will directly contribute to ensuring the University's museums, collections, and performing arts are integral to Melbourne's cultural fabric, enriching the social and intellectual life of students and communities, and creating an outstanding on-campus experience.Your responsibilities will include:Manage High-Value Donor Relationships: Cultivate and solicit gifts from prospective and current donors in the $200,000 to $1M+ range for the University's Museums, Collections, cultural priorities, and performing arts initiatives.Develop Fundraising Strategies: Collaborate with the Director of Museums and Collections, the Director of Performing Arts, and the Director – Philanthropy to secure significant philanthropic support and corporate support for showcasing cultural collections and fostering creativity.Drive Philanthropic Outcomes: Assist in developing and delivering strategic fundraising outcomes, meeting annual targets, and designing philanthropic priorities.Collaborate Across Departments: Work closely with Advancement colleagues and serve as a member of both the Museums and Collections and Performing Arts leadership teams.Who we are looking forWe're seeking an experienced Fundraising Manager with a genuine passion for Museums and Performing Arts. You excel at managing complex relationships and strategic priorities while serving as a champion for the University's mission both externally and internally.You will also have:Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.Ability to exercise leadership with colleagues and donors to shape and align programs with philanthropic outcomes.A track record in identifying, researching, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donor relationships, both independently and as part of a team.Proven ability in planning processes with excellent conceptual and analytical skills.This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check.
