+ superannuation and annual leave loadingFlexible work practices including work from home, flexible working hours, 35-hour week and flex leaveYour roleThe Manager Casework role is broad and requires a combination of knowledge, skills and experience that will enable you to lead, mentor and provide strategic direction to a small team.What You'll DoAs Manager of the MFWW Emergency Arrangement Response Team you will be responsible for the overall management of team functions and deliverables in relation to children and young people residing in High-Cost Emergency Arrangements (HCEA's) in MFWW district.
The team works closely with a range of stakeholders including district casework teams, funded NGOs and the central HCEA Strategy unit to expedite exits from HCEAs and avoid new entries.The Manager Casework has a range of key accountabilities which include:Improve outcomes for all children and young people in OOHC across Murrumbidgee, Far West & Western NSW by providing centralised oversight of all children and young people in High-Cost Emergency Arrangements (HCEA);Establish, monitor and maintain consistent data and reporting systems in relation to HCEA and probity;Support children and young people by working with CSC teams to meet compliance requirements for children in all HCEA;Develop a client focused, collaborative and high performing service culture, working in collaboration with CSC's, the Executive and Service Providers;Sustain practice and systems that ensure tracking and oversight mechanisms are in place and continually reviewed to ensure district compliance;Embed and maintain robust systems to monitor HCEA exits and entries;Identifying strengths, opportunities and tracking themes across the district and provide advice and regular reporting to Principal Officers;Weekly reporting to the Principal Officers and Executive District Director on the status of DCJ HCEA and probity compliance;Escalation of compliance concerns or risks with placement approvals and probity checks;Advice and guidance to CSC's when ChildStory or Community Services Checks indicate potential concerns or risk management for decision making;Advice, guidance and oversight of Service Level Agreements;Advice and guidance on HCEA financial costs as required;Participation in weekly HCEA district panels;MFWW District champion for Residential Care Worker Register;Oversight of the management of the MFWW HCEA Approvals and Probity mailbox;Management, oversight and implementation of District HCEA;Supervision of the MFWW EART Project Officer & Administrative Support Officer;Ongoing professional development and collaboration across the agency and with community partners;Contributing to operational and policy issues and change management strategies which support the agency goals and objectives.What We're Looking ForTertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Social Science, Welfare or a related discipline;Extensive experience in applying best practice casework with children, young people and their families;Experience leading and managing teams in complex and challenging situations;A demonstrated understanding of trauma informed care and the impact poverty, trauma and violence has on children and their families;Current driver's licence as occasional travel will be required.Appointments are subject to reference checks and the following pre-employment checks:National Criminal History Record Check in accordance with the Disability Inclusion Act 2014;Working with Children Check clearance in accordance with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012;What We OfferA challenging and rewarding career;Flexible, autonomous work environment;Competitive pay and conditions including up to 5 weeks recreation leave (eligible locations only);Training and development opportunities to build and maintain capabilities;Health & Wellbeing and Employee Assistance Programs.RequirementsClick apply, attach an up-to-date résumé (maximum 5 pages) and a cover letter (maximum 3 pages) addressing the 2 targeted questions below with a brief outline on how you meet the requirements of the role:This role requires the Manager to work closely with, advise and negotiate with senior managers including the Managers Client Services, Director Community Services/Principal Officers, the Executive District Director and central HCEA Strategy Unit.
